I really do love Sentia, but we are forbidden to join. I am an orphan and have been raised by her father since I was a young one barely walking. Acquerian society considers us to be brother and sister. I have too much at stake to defy the Elders. I do not know what to do. I would that she not join with Paol. She does not love him and I loathe him.

2nd Sunset, Half Moon, Spring, my Sixteenth Summer:

Dhavin must know I love him. He must petition my father for my hand in joining. I cannot join with Paol. What am I to do? Society would have me obey. My heart would have me obey. Which will I choose if I am forced to do so?

Let me introduce myself. I am Pheris, Chief Scribe and Official Scrollkeeper of all of Acqueria. I was a child when we landed here, yet I have always protected her history. I even hid forbidden scrolls from the archives of the Temple on The Island - the place we sailed from to gain our political and religious freedom - among my belongings, that we may never lose our history.
